Weekend in the Country II

I recently spent a lovely weekend in Normandy with good friends at their home. It is a place I often go to, but always manage to find new ways to take in the atmosphere and peace. It is incredibly quiet there, save for the frogs in the pond, the birds and bees buzzing about. This weekend was particularly nice since there was a lot of sun, at least more than usual. I took these photos in the way that seemed to express most the mood of the time. It was warm, the colors were intense and the feeling was geared toward forgetting the outside world and living only this place, this soulful old house in the country and it's garden. It was an experiment that works. I love when that happens.
